On the first sight it seems amusing and fun to spot more and more things.
After a while the overfill starts to produce overstimulation in order to thought-provoking.

This artwork uses the form of traditional Chinese ink painting to depict grapes made from grenades and barbed wire—symbolizing how the consequences of war bring only suffering and sorrow, like bitter fruit. This sharply contrasts the sweetness usually associated with grapes, merging two opposite sensations into one. It invites the viewer to “taste the bitter fruit of war”—a plea for peace and the avoidance of conflict.

There are so many problems in this world that need our attention and will to change. But we focus on a poor group of people fleeing violence and war, whilst our society is being dismantled by powerful interest groups and our environment is going down the drain for profit of the very same groups. We need to focus instead of listening to self-invested politicians and profit oriented media. We also tend to forget that everything is connected and all the issues can not be seen individually – but together. Most of the blurred words amongst others are direct causes for the refugees in focus.

How can you seriously be upset about ingredients in food, if you are not willing to pay a fair price for it?

My poster shows a whale being symbolically cut into pieces by sound waves.
The noise exposure under water is constantly increasing; cargo ships, navy sonar systems, the installation of offshore wind parks, ships looking for oil and gas, altogether form an immensely, continuous noise.  Whales and other water creatures are losing their orientation, as they are communicating by ultrasound and their orientation is disturbed.
Hence they are driven away from reproduction and nutrition places, lose their group, some get deaf. Whole schools of whales stranded after seismic examinations and sonar experiments, used in order to find oil. The animals concerned die in a torturous way, and are finally found with internal bleedings and damaged acoustic organs at our beaches.
They tried, without any orientation, to flee from the acoustic noise surrounding them.

Is it about the currency or the human?

Consciousness for climate change is constantly growing. But while we’re willing to make small changes in our everyday lives, there are still many areas that remain completely untouched in their immense carbon dioxide emission. Many people commute to work in order to save greenhouse gasses, but book a transatlantic flight for their hippie-holiday in Thailand. And while it’s the most poolutive way of travel, airtravel makes up only 2% of worldwide greenhouse gas emmision. We need to think bigger then buying bio.

In a world of self-isolation and loneliness, it’s easy to fall under the impression that the only excitement and happiness you get is from the courier carrying you a package full of things you don’t really need.

Let’s face it: between part-time, care work and housework, mothers actually work full-time. No one cares if they have the tools, the time or a team to support them. Even the day off is used to finally organize medical appointments, buy a birthday present for the kids’ party on Saturday, look for bigger shoes, put away the clean laundry pile and get a new sunscreen.

Actually, mommy is just an acronym for do. Unnoticed and unpaid, of course.

A good idea is hard to come by, and to communicate it visually is even harder. Ideas always will always create effects, they have consequences. They can shape the world, mold the planet and leave a trace … like they did on my forehead.

Queer is a collective term for sexual orientations that are not heterosexual, as well as any gender identities. As a queer person, you don’t have to follow all the stereotypical clichés of the scene. Be who you are.

The fact, that in Germany women compared to men are still paid 21 percent less is unbelievable and totally not appropriate nowadays. I really asked myself how being a „man” (ergo someone having a penis – definition is also out-of-date by the way) brings that somebody to earn and deserve more?

Size obviously matters!

The symbol of the cycle is omnipresent on todays products and packagings. To the consumer this can be misleading, constantly suggesting the waste will be reused. This way of recycling often is just a disposal via detours. Wrongly disposed or problematic materials are burnt or exported, statistically counting as recycled. While the total amount of waste produced is going up, the real challenge of reducing waste is neglected.

Over 70 years ago the fundamental human rights were enshrined by the United Nations for every human being on the planet – Yet almost everywhere around the world, women and girls are still denied them, often simply because of their gender. Ranging from the right to live free from violence and discrimination – including domestic violence, sexual assault, forced marriage, trafficking and awful practices such as female genital mutilation. To the right to be educated; to own property; to vote; to run for office; to earn an equal wage.

Death penalty is a controversial topic. Despite our worldwide humanist society, there are still countries that try to atone for almost medieval ways of punishment of certain crimes by the death of the accused. The question of how it can be fair to repay an injustice, such as the death of a person caused willfully by the same injustice is something unacceptable and certainly incomprehensible. We believe that with thorough and conscientious thinking, everyone should come to this conclusion. The fact that Germany is no longer in use of this inhuman punishment shouldn’t distract from the fact that many other countries are still carrying out this procedure.

Populists are increasing throughout the Europe from different parties. Their success is symptomatic of the weakness of European political parties and party systems.

The Japanese even have a name for it: Karojisatsu, suicide from overwork. A society that places achievement over the human being isn‘t only the reality in Japan. Even though we have no word for it yet, we need to change something. Otherwise we will need one very soon. I demand: Let’s distance ourselves from the pressure of achievement, back to more quality of life.

Female genital mutilation is a terrible situation for women, especially in Africa.
In this procedure knifes, razors or scissors are used.

What we need is the Statue of Liberty or the same God like Chairman Mao! What do we really need: Freedom? Democracy? Or a common culture of the world? I combined the Chinese and Western symbols to express the embarrassment of a reality show that brings all the confusion of the cultural differences.

We’re living in the times when social norms are being reconsidered and broadened, which is amazing and promising. However, when I was reading articles about the widening definition of normal, I was thinking that there would always be individuals who wouldn’t fit into the new normal paradigm. I believe there is a catch in this discussion, by defining normal we are also highlighting our differences. So, the idea of this poster was to show that not belonging could be an incredible experience, too, and there was nothing abnormal with not being normal. The poster is a bit ironical, as the creature is setting its own tail on fire (or biting it, the interpretation is up to the viewers). The poster was hand-drawn with acrylic on paper.

Is it the time to lose or to tighten our belts to the last hole? We don’t know it yet.

Sex is a must. For most people, physical closeness and tenderness are basic needs, comparable to eating, drinking or sleeping. It is therefore all the more important that sexual relationships can be lived free of discrimination and shame.

We should all have the opportunity to decide openly and self-determined about our sexuality and to live
out our individual preferences – always provided that this happens in agreement and with respect for all involved.

Sex is a must, but without sexism.

This poster shows the game world of a small child with the central theme of war, the Kalashnikov, build out of blocks. War is not a game and children should not be tempted to the use of weapons, either caused by media in our western culture or as child soldiers in armed conflicts.

Wrestling belongs to the Olympic Games, as the rings to the Olympic symbol.
