The poster could either criticize companies that aim to target new audiences with hypocritical promises and enhance their brand image, or it could represent an actual advertising campaign by Company XY, targeting the ‘Climate Warriors’ demographic. But following through with actions that match the beautiful words is not as important, especially if those words have already achieved the desired effect.

Right-wing populist parties in Europe have been gaining strength for years. Simple answers to complex questions turn them into stars of the modern age. This poster is an appeal: Don’t trust anyone blindly!

Pacifists face a complex dilemma in dramatic situations like the war in Ukraine. Si vis pacem, para bellum (“if you want peace get ready for war”) or Si vis pacem para pacem?

Nuclear disaster contaminates many food such as milk, mushrooms, fish, vegetables, meats, fruits, rice, tea and etc. Once it happens, it will make the nature continue to be contaminated because of long half-lives of radioactive materials (those of Sr-90 and Cs-137 are about 30 years). Unstable damaged Fukushima nuclear power plants still emit radioactive materials to the environment. I live in Tokyo, and like many other people I have had fears for invisible radiation since last year, which was often invoked when I thought what to eat. I have expressed in this poster what I have felt in this pessimistic daily life. Nuclear power is very destructive to both the nature and our lives.

We‘re consuming non-stop. Only because we have the possibility to.
Instead of grappling with our discontentedness we buy stuff that we don‘t even need.
We consume to compensate the condition of feeling empty.
The use of stained and strong colours call the viewers attention.
On the first sight it seems amusing and fun to spot more and more things.
After a while the overfill starts to produce overstimulation in order to thought-provoking.

The message of my poster titled Find (or Lelet in Hungarian) is that if humanity will not change in its attitude towards the environment, then the legacy that left on Earth will be only the accummulated heaps of garbage. Waste that takes ages to break down and the overuse of plastics are becoming more and more important topics, in my opinion. My poster is meant to bring attention to this problem.

I would like environmental pollution to become our history and for humankind to strive to eradicate even its memory for the future generations.

There are millions of birds and hundreds of thousands of sea mammals dying around the world because of the waste in the oceans. A lot of animals confuse plastic particles with food and starve to death, the stomach full of plastic. For example there are 95% of fulmars dying with plastic in their stomachs (27 particles per bird).
I quote a poster from Pierre Mendell for the “Kieler Woche”, a sailing regatta and a big public festival at the German Sea. I changed the text and substituted the paper-sail by plastic-sail.

The poster is against animal cruelty. While the wolf stands for animals in general, the dance steps symbolize the ease and cynicism with which man is doing so.

Migration, unemployment & islamophobia: three of the current decade’s largest topics – especially in Europe. The poster, written from the perspective of a fictional Mohamed (the most common name in the world according to Wikipedia), highlights the bureaucratic and political difficulties of being a recently migrated foreigner seeking for employment: sitting in front of the typewriter, writing the same sentence over and over, slowly spiralling into madness and waiting for any future.

For 10 years, the infrastructures of the Football World Cup are being built in Qatar. For 10 years, a silent massacre is happening there: the massacre of Indian, Pakistani, Nepalese, Bengali, Sri Lankan workers, reduced to near slavery conditions. At least 6500 workers died on those building sites according to The Guardian.

42 years ago, the French graphic designer, Alain Le Quernec, created a poster to alert people about the World Cup in Argentina where Videla’s bloody dictatorship raged. In reference to this previous « shame cup » and as a tribute to Alain, I have revisited his graphic idea today to denounce this new mass grave on which a party will be hosted, with the complicity of FIFA and our governments.

After hatching, a small, innocent creature looks expectantly on his future life.
It has no idea how cruel his short existence will be, before it ends at a fast food restaurant.

The poster announces the annihilation of the world caused by humans. The poster humorously references Posters of classic Monster Films. Because the scariest Monster of them all is not the next Godzilla but the human. In our time of the Anthropocene, he chews his way through the world while drooling all over the place. The legs and arms of the parasite wrap greedily around the world while it slowly melts. Shortage of resources, climate change and species extinction have become common problems, which require more radical actions. Because the end of the world will not happen dramatically like in a disaster movie, but slowly with every day the world is exploited by humans to the point of maximum profit.

Over 70 years ago the fundamental human rights were enshrined by the United Nations for every human being on the planet – Yet almost everywhere around the world, women and girls are still denied them, often simply because of their gender. Ranging from the right to live free from violence and discrimination – including domestic violence, sexual assault, forced marriage, trafficking and awful practices such as female genital mutilation. To the right to be educated; to own property; to vote; to run for office; to earn an equal wage.

Mental health is hard work and constant effort. Never give that up. Keep well!

Hunger is a social problem that exists throughout the world, physically and mentally.  Mankind not only needs money to live, you need it for food, to survive, to feed the soul of motivation and to succeed. You need food to protect your family from disease. Without food mankind has no sense to survive in this globalized world of the wealthy.

Our knowledge is strictly defined by our education. If it is poor or based on stereotypes or dogmas we see the world around in a very restricted and simple way. The less you know, the less you see. Simple relations, simple solutions, simple goals. Sometimes the poorness of the mind is taken as a childish attitude. On the other hand childish way of understanding, the clean and uncontaminated perspective can possibly reveal obviousness of our mistakes and ambiguity of reality.

This poster can be regarded as ecological at first glance. The observer is a child and was told that trees are big and grow outside…

Nevertheless my aim was to go beyond ecology and show that something is really wrong in a much wider context. The real question is: Is the world we live in really the one we want to leave our children? The proper heritage to pass on…

The trowel is a tool for building. By connecting it with the symbol of the good — of love — we gain the strength of a powerful message.
Building the good is both incredibly simple and incredibly hard. But I believe that only through this act — through building the good — can we remain human in the truest, most humanistic sense.

In our society pharmaceuticals are taken for granted and therefore consumed thoughtlessly. We should give more thought to their effect on society and our own quality of life. Do we really want to get older and older? The poster is also an allusion to Niklaus Stoecklins poster for Gaba in 1927.

The idea was to show a positive expression of showing one’s teeth, because it needs courage to do so. Have you ever blunt your teeth on trying to achieve something? Mostly, it’s worth the effort.

Women are still oppressed and disadvantaged by men in the most diverse areas of life. In the family, as well as in the public and the world of work, they are affected by social inequalities, which are caused, among other things, by traditional roles and gender prejudices. Women are underrepresented in leading positions and more often than men have a passive, reserved role in the background. They are taken less seriously and less perceived and encounter significant obstacles in the ascension within the hierarchy.

The plot of the poster is the pollution, more specifically, the car exhaust. The unique ambiguity of the (german) title leaves no doubt who the « bad guy » is.

My poster is a diversion of the famous paint “Pollice Verso” or “Thumb-down” from French artist Jean-Léon Gérôme created in 1872. The controversy on the reality of the thumb_down during gladiator time doesn’t matter because the public still have the right to save or kill a life…

What is important to me, is how the public, anonymous persons, can have the right on penalty death on an unknown person trying to save his life. How can people make their own opinion on a situation and decide how it will end or continue? Gladiatorial is a combat but before everything an entertainment. Gladiators are looking for opportunities and self-promotion. Public make them famous or not.

How weird is our time which, through social media, seems to replicate the same entertainments with the brutalities. Is human being changed in two thousand years?

We observe exactly the same mechanism on social media. In one hand few people make incredible things trying to get famous, earn money and in a way promote themselves. In the other hand, unknown people, debate, talk, judge, observe, look and decide with the thumb (or common social media language) to like or dislike any content, any post, any page… any person.

We’s have seen how far can people go on social media and the power of the public on it.

Is social media the new arena for modern gladiatorial?

This poster was designed to show the double moral in treating animals.
Kids are raised by their parents with books showing cute farm animals and happy people.
A wonderful world is presented to them, in which people and animals live in harmony.
On contrary the cute little pigs, sheep, and chicken are not given any second thought when they make it onto our bread for breakfast or into our dishes for lunch and dinner. We live in an illusion of a harmonic world created by ourselves, keeping our eyes shut for the harm that is done to animals.
