In recent months, the work of sea rescuers has been made incredibly difficult by the Corona pandemic. While inaction on one front ensured falling infection figures, missions on the Mediterranean came to a complete standstill at times. Many states even took restrictive measures against non-governmental teams of sea rescuers. Allowing people to die on the Mediterranean Sea in order to further the isolation of Europe and to fight political power struggles is intolerable and speaks against any humanity.

The Eurocentric-based beauty filters on Instagram or TikTok, for example, not only help to achieve a clear skin appearance and digital make-up, but also “correct” non-European features into small noses, big eyes, high cheekbones and even an automated lighter skin tone. This not only perpetuates the Eurocentric bias of globally accepted beauty ideals, but digitally erases diversity.

In the context of creation, this poster is about me: I’m angry at myself—angry that I’m not more angry at myself. But in the context of presentation, this anger turns on you. I’m angry at you for not being angry enough at yourself. And I’m probably angry at you now because you might not understand the concept behind this poster. We direct our anger outward, forgetting how hypocritical and unreflective that really is. It’s incredibly easy to point fingers at others instead of turning that anger inward. Ironically, this poster does exactly that.

Life in cities has become a question of financial status over recent years. Rent and property prices have increased way faster than wages have. At the same time new spaces are only scarcely created. More and more people are struggling to find an adequate place to live and this fact is further creating social divide. This is a real problem of our times.

My work calls for the observer to reflect, but still gives them the freedom to imagine the extent of the serious injuries of a rape victim.
At the same time the ever increasing red tones – the strongest being the word “rape” visualizes the damage which is irreparable.

Switzerland is a paradise for Russian oligarchs due to its unregulated commodity trading center and lack of financial transparency. Despite Putin’s war of aggression in Ukraine, Swiss authorities show little interest in tracking down Russian money in Switzerland. So far, only a small percentage of the suspected assets have been frozen. Even in times of war, Switzerland serves as a safe haven for the money of all those who support Putin’s totalitarian and imperialist policies, and who significantly contribute to financing the Kremlin’s war machine.

45 years ago, a bitter revolution unfolded in Iran, leading to the rise of religious radicals who seized control of the government. As a result, the country’s name was changed from Iran to the Islamic Republic of Iran. Throughout all these years, they have consistently stood against the will of the Iranian people, relentlessly propagating their ideology and ruling the country with a brutal dictatorship.

The application of military drones has greatly reduced the risks and costs of bombing. For certain political authorities and interests, the new technology provides the convenience to harm innocent civilians in the name of justice. Kids are raised by their parents with books showing cute farm animals and happy people.
A wonderful world is presented to them, in which people and animals live in harmony.
On contrary the cute little pigs, sheep, and chicken are not given any second thought when they make it onto our bread for breakfast or into our dishes for lunch and dinner. We live in an illusion of a harmonic world created by ourselves, keeping our eyes shut for the harm that is done to animals.

Many African children (and non african) have chronic hunger. Situation that puts them at disadvantage and their life expectancy is very low. This terrible situation generates, among other undesirable consequences, the development of their life.

With my piece, I wanted to make a layout that could give a distant feeling of what it’s like to suffer from the disease. As a visual realization, especially in background with the contest for Mut zur Wut, I was looking for a way to bring the topic to an understandable point and with the help of which you can put yourself a little bit into the depressive state. My experiences with depression have led me to make a personal contribution to this topic. On the one hand, I wanted to tell those affected that they are not alone with their feelings and to give people who find it difficult to put themselves in this position a visual clue: Look, the world is hidden behind it (or a good poster;-), but it is not available to you. Be brave! Talk about it.

Consciousness for climate change is constantly growing. But while we’re willing to make small changes in our everyday lives, there are still many areas that remain completely untouched in their immense carbon dioxide emission. Many people commute to work in order to save greenhouse gasses, but book a transatlantic flight for their hippie-holiday in Thailand. And while it’s the most poolutive way of travel, airtravel makes up only 2% of worldwide greenhouse gas emmision. We need to think bigger then buying bio.

In 2050, 3x more plastic could swim in the sea than fish. There are already 6x more plastic in the water than plankton in many parts of the sea and many seabirds and marine mammals die from contact with plastic waste. A single plastic bottle takes 450 years to decompose in the sea, but it never dissolves completely, but splits only into small, barely visible plastic particles.

We need to rethink how we treat our environment. People should be made aware of this issue because it affects each of us!

The background why I created it: The most of people in the world long for a peaceful and happy life without guns and blood. But to be the different Union there are different conflicts of interest, in this situation, some super nations arbitrary interfere others. For example the Iraq War 2007 and today’s Syrian War.

Bombs fall, people flee, cities crumble – war is pure catastrophe. For millions, it means pain, loss and fear. But not for everyone. There are those who profit from suffering: Shareholders whose investments in arms companies bring maximum profits. Heads of state who secure raw materials and power under the guise of peace. Banks that increase their profits with loans for arms deals. As long as there is money to be made from war, why should there be peace?

What is more important: a plant or a power plant?

By law we are free. Free to decide to accept an offer and use it or not. This freedom of use is not permitted by the GEZ, in this case we are forced to pay for something whether we use it or not.

Sex is a must. For most people, physical closeness and tenderness are basic needs, comparable to eating, drinking or sleeping. It is therefore all the more important that sexual relationships can be lived free of discrimination and shame.

We should all have the opportunity to decide openly and self-determined about our sexuality and to live
out our individual preferences – always provided that this happens in agreement and with respect for all involved.

Sex is a must, but without sexism.
