Who is deciding over rights?
Rights made for whom and by whom?
Can we categorize human beings by laws?
Is it sometimes just convenient to cling to paragraphs and thereby shirk responsibility?

Facebook wird immer mehr zu einem festen Bestandteil alltäglicher Kommunikation, doch wird dieses soziale Netzwerk oft eher unreflektiert genutzt. Neben anderen negativen Aspekten fiel mir vor allem die dortige Definition und der Umgang mit dem Wort »friend«, also »Freund« auf. Funktioniert Facebook nicht unter anderem, wie der Name schon sagt, als »Gesicht(sammel)buch«? Wie viele Menschen in seiner Freundesliste kennt man wirklich?

Water is considered a symbol of life. The waste of water reveals the danger of a total depletion of consumable water and the eventual death of mankind.

Light, symbolizing life, happiness, hope, justice and sacredness, conveys the most glorious and spectacular impression to mankind. While it has a guiding role, it can also cause the instinctive excitement and joy of all things of life. But we are at home with mobile phones in our hands, so where is the hope of mankind now? Where does this light lead us? Maybe in the next generation.

Over cutting of human beings will eventually lead to the disappearance of forests.

The AfD and its members are primarily known for their right-wing, racist, fascist, and inhumane statements. Statements reminiscent of the Nazis. For this reason, the arrow in the AfD logo was slightly altered, adapted, and colored brown. This clarifies what the AfD really is. Brown shit.

In a world of self-isolation and loneliness, it’s easy to fall under the impression that the only excitement and happiness you get is from the courier carrying you a package full of things you don’t really need.

In a not too distant future everybody might be a drone’s target. With countless cameras and even weapons on board a drone might be worse than any insect you´ve ever felt disturbed by.
Once they decide to attack you it will most likely be too late for a court hearing. So watch out for this dangerous man-made species as there won’t be much we can do once they´ve grown.

»Description? Sorry, no time!«

With my piece, I wanted to make a layout that could give a distant feeling of what it’s like to suffer from the disease. As a visual realization, especially in background with the contest for Mut zur Wut, I was looking for a way to bring the topic to an understandable point and with the help of which you can put yourself a little bit into the depressive state. My experiences with depression have led me to make a personal contribution to this topic. On the one hand, I wanted to tell those affected that they are not alone with their feelings and to give people who find it difficult to put themselves in this position a visual clue: Look, the world is hidden behind it (or a good poster;-), but it is not available to you. Be brave! Talk about it.

In recent years, the number of »boat people« has increased drastically, and with it the number of drowned refugees. The »SOS« sign on the horizon of the Mediterranean Sea is a call for help and a bearer for hope at the same time and requires support.

How can you seriously be upset about ingredients in food, if you are not willing to pay a fair price for it?

East meets West’ by Gorilla is a comment on the clash of Western and Middle East culture. In the West, there has been a lot of discussion about prohibiting traditional Eastern clothing like the burqa and the niqab. There seems to be a fear of the anonymous. On the other end of the scale, exhibitionism, voyeurism and pornography is becoming an increasingly dominant part of Western culture. One can question oneself what is more offending to the other.

People are reduced to superficialities, which have nothing to do with the natural course of events. The (western) beauty ideal detaches itself from the original function of the human organism. This example refers to men, but the principle obviously counts for women too.

The poster turns our traditional role models of men and women upside down by showing Olive Oyl, not Popeye, smoking a pipe and flexing her muscles.
The supposedly masculine attributes on Olivia seem rather silly and show how much clichéd role models have manifested themselves in our minds.

What we need is the Statue of Liberty or the same God like Chairman Mao! What do we really need: Freedom? Democracy? Or a common culture of the world? I combined the Chinese and Western symbols to express the embarrassment of a reality show that brings all the confusion of the cultural differences.

Faster! When do we finally arrive?

The main element of the poster is a gradient which uses all the main political parties colors. These are Patres which have already been part of the German government, and have a good chance of becoming pat of it again. Above the gradient stands „Wähl:“, which means “vote:”. The way the colors fade into each other is meant to symbolize the overlapping political ideals of each party.
