The “Zeitgeist” poster was created in response to the news headlines from several online newspapers one day in October 2017. When scrolling through news portal sites, the discrepancy between positive and negative, important and unimportant news is incredibly large. This poster is a play on words with sexist elements that degrades a woman on the role of a housewife and a sex object. The poster “Ironing and getting ironed” is an exaggerated confrontation with the still often disparagingly rated life of a woman.
The woman irons well-behaved the laundry and indicates at the same time by her bare breasts that she can always be ironed. “Ironed” is a German dialect meaning: “Getting fucked”.

This work uses fingers and animals to combine graphic creativity. Because of the destruction of the nature of human beings, the killing of living things, so the creatures continue to evolve, mutate into colorful colors, but also grow human hands, in an attempt to resist this evil. Hope to warn people not to kill animals, care about the current global environmental problems.

Trump represents all kind of extremism. This is beyond politics. This is about basic human decency. Integrity, loyalty, honesty. My poster is a satire of “kkk” using the “dunce cap” and the internet slang “kkkkk” for a big laughing.

The symbols are relative. Different functions can be named depending on where and how they are used. Sometimes a symbol has no meaning to someone. In the same way, concepts are relative too. Sometimes they’re not even concepts, they’re only words. Such as “Peace”.

In many countries, in many areas there are no clear laws or regulations to punish domestic violence, although it is a common problem. Domestic violence is generally regarded as a private matter not to be accepted by national jurisdictions.

Residential and commercial space has become a rare and expensive thing in cities. To achieve sustainable urban development one must properly handle resources, and this includes existing buildings. This is not a rational or social issue per say, but more a question of creating a space for fresh impulses. With the right amount of commitment, dedication and active involvement, we can create attractive new forms of utilization.

We must raise awareness of vacancy within the population of our cities, and this poster is designed to just that. The main message is aimed to make the issue up close and personal, by addressing us directly. The poster mourns the state of affairs, pressing us to change something about it.

Cities all over the world are becoming more and more invisible. They become invisible because of the smog we create to reach ever higher goals. But the smog destroys the basis of living and everything gets ugly and we grow ill – until we can’t see each other anymore.

There are so many problems in this world that need our attention and will to change. But we focus on a poor group of people fleeing violence and war, whilst our society is being dismantled by powerful interest groups and our environment is going down the drain for profit of the very same groups. We need to focus instead of listening to self-invested politicians and profit oriented media. We also tend to forget that everything is connected and all the issues can not be seen individually – but together. Most of the blurred words amongst others are direct causes for the refugees in focus.

Life in cities has become a question of financial status over recent years. Rent and property prices have increased way faster than wages have. At the same time new spaces are only scarcely created. More and more people are struggling to find an adequate place to live and this fact is further creating social divide. This is a real problem of our times.

BILD is a german newspaper, known for its unmistakable style of headlines. By using the same corporate identity, this poster shows the functioning of BILD: The sensationalistic articles are aiming to incite fear in society.

In many Islamic countries women rights are suppressed, there are too many rules and they have to dress in overall burkas that look like restraining cages, exposing only eyes that resemble a small prison window revealing a trace of light. This appeal is intended to loosen the restrictions on women.

The goal of the poster is to raise awareness about domestic violence and reflect on its complexity. The image shows an idyllic “mother-father-child” scene, drawn in the style of a child’s crayon sketch. But subtle details hint at a disturbing reality behind the surface.
