The application of military drones has greatly reduced the risks and costs of bombing. For certain political authorities and interests, the new technology provides the convenience to harm innocent civilians in the name of justice. Facing violent tactics like bombing, the figure of the picture is howling from the bottom of his heart: NO!

Violence generates violence, how do we stop this circulation of aggression? A man beats his wife, the son is watching, the boy grows up and now he is beating his own wife, his child is watching…the circle will repeat. We need to stop this creation of violence. It circulates shamelessly in every part of our lives. It is everywhere: in our home, school, university, workplace, on the streets, in media, movies and we cannot find a perfect solution to reduce violent crime – because the solution doesn‘t exist.

Most major german cities are bursting at the seams, the rents go into the absurd, many residents suffer from the narrows and often flee into nature. Meanwhile, rural areas slowly but surely are orphaned: abandoned villages, old people and lack of prospects determine the picture. Young, motivated residents flee to the cities – a vicious circle.

Anti-Semitic incidents are flaring up again at an alarming rate in Germany.
Jews have been the target of hatred and incitement, not only since Halle – acts of violence, insults or incitement of the people. Jewish citizens are rightly concerned. Together we must take action against emerging anti-Semitism and raise awareness and consciousness in society.

As the gap between rich and poor keeps growing, the wealthiest percentage of the global population gains more and more influence and power. This imbalance plays out not only in financial terms but across all aspects of social life.
In response to these injustices—especially in times when figures like Donald Trump are considered “the most powerful man in the world”—more and more people are taking to the streets. One slogan of this resistance: Eat the [Filthy] Rich—a call to action against excessive wealth and capitalism that dates back to the French Revolution.

Death penalty is a controversial topic. Despite our worldwide humanist society, there are still countries that try to atone for almost medieval ways of punishment of certain crimes by the death of the accused. The question of how it can be fair to repay an injustice, such as the death of a person caused willfully by the same injustice is something unacceptable and certainly incomprehensible. We believe that with thorough and conscientious thinking, everyone should come to this conclusion. The fact that Germany is no longer in use of this inhuman punishment shouldn’t distract from the fact that many other countries are still carrying out this procedure.

In 2015, women in the United States were paid roughly 79¢ for every dollar men were. While this image depicts one regional statistic, the broader objective is to call attention to the myriad injustices faced predominantly by women in the workforce. In addition to unequal pay, issues like sexual harassment, biased dress codes, and lack of paid and/or adequate family leave continue to plague workers throughout much of the world.

Despite efforts to reduce plastics in households, the damage is already done, and the oceans are witnessing it. We must act soon and help our only home, the Earth.

Before 2050, the Arctic pack ice will melt completely in summer, even if ambitious climate targets are met. Nowhere on Earth is warming happening as rapidly as in the Arctic. The consequences are problematic for both humans and nature. The bright ice sheet plays a crucial role in the climate system by reflecting sunlight back into space, cooling the Arctic, and preventing further heating of the Earth’s atmosphere. While the ice masses melt, sea levels rise, coastal areas flood worldwide, extreme weather phenomena become more frequent.

When money sets the rules of the game, fairness becomes a tool manipulated by the few.

A mass phenomenon and at the same time the image of Western societies:
The increasing escape into virtuality, constant availability and the risk of social deformity are the negative side effects of continuous use of mobile devices in modern times.

This poster is a call to action: Don’t look away. Don’t stay silent. Get involved. Getting involved doesn’t mean having perfect answers—it means taking a stand. Asking questions. Standing up. Raising your voice, even if it trembles. Don’t be intimidated. Get involved. Because silence is not an option.

After hearing the news that “Japan is going to dump nuclear waste water into the Pacific Ocean”, I believe everyone’s mood and expression in the world are just like this poster, dazed and anxious… This expression has been integrated with the spread of nuclear waste water in the Pacific Ocean, so as to warn the whole mankind to resolutely oppose this behavior.

The poster deeply digs and creatively from the phenomenon of life, using graphics to show the last scene of people falling into the water asking for help, while the people close at hand are taking photos as a rubberneck, thus criticizing this strange phenomenon of “indifference”, hoping to wake up the people’s sense of social responsibility, and make it a social atmosphere to be brave and good.

Donald Trump darkens the truth by misusing it, piece by piece. In the end, even the shadows lie.

This poster is commenting on the adverse consequences of overfishing and overhunting for human gratification, which often results in the critical endangerment of certain species and puts biodiversity in grave danger.

The symbol of the cycle is omnipresent on todays products and packagings. To the consumer this can be misleading, constantly suggesting the waste will be reused. This way of recycling often is just a disposal via detours. Wrongly disposed or problematic materials are burnt or exported, statistically counting as recycled. While the total amount of waste produced is going up, the real challenge of reducing waste is neglected.

The topic of my poster “Stop Female Genital Mutilation” is a much discussed theme in the human rights debate, nevertheless, most people do not know what exactly happens during the procedure and how cruel it actually is. This is what I tried to communicate with my motive, while displaying the shape of the female sex the poster gives brutal information in short and direct sentences. The font I used is called “Thorn” and has been designed by Hubert Jocham and is just the right font to emphasize the brutality of the procedure. FGM is, although it is a serious violation of the human rights, carried out in many regions, among them western countries (up to 500000 girls and women living in the European Union are affected or threatened by FGM). Just recently illegal procedures in South Africa (which is not even on the list of countries where FGM is practiced) have been discovered. After the terrible circumcision, these girls are branded with a mark on their thighs as evidence of having attended the procedure. We all need to raise awareness, Stop FGM Now!

In many countries, in many areas there are no clear laws or regulations to punish domestic violence, although it is a common problem. Domestic violence is generally regarded as a private matter not to be accepted by national jurisdictions.
